INVESTIGATIVE UPDATE--THE AFTERMATH

On June 1 2004, HarperCollins Perennial released the trade-paperback revised edition of Black Dahlia Avenger: a Genius for Murder.

It includes over one-hundred pages of new material, a Foreword by bestselling L.A. crime-novelist, James Ellroy, an index, and a massive new investigative chapter-THE AFTERMATH.

THE AFTERMATH chapter updates readers with the follow-up investigation and summary of the author’s findings from --April 2003 to January 2004. The new information, much of which was obtained from previously secret DA files, completes the linkage and provides “the smoking guns” proving Dr. George Hodel was in truth-The Black Dahlia Avenger, and a 1940s Los Angeles--serial killer.

A few of the investigative findings in the AFTERMATH:

  • 1) D.A. reports and transcripts of electronic surveillance inside Dr. Hodel’s Hollywood mansion, which document verbatim admissions to multiple crimes, cash payoffs to abortionists and law enforcement agencies as well as additional criminal activity.
  • 2) D.A. investigative reports confirming George Hodel in 1950 was being investigated as a serial killer suspected of multiple L.A. area homicides.
  • 3) Author interviews with reliable new witnesses (both law-enforcement and civilian) who independently confirm that Dr. George Hodel was the named killer.
  • 4) New forensic photographs and exhibits
